International Orders and Shipping

【How to Order】

International orders are accepted throughout the year.

All international customers must select the “Pay Later” option when placing an order.

If you place multiple orders, we will combine them and calculate the total cost of the plants and required documents once your order is finalized.

If you pay for each order separately, a shipping charge may be added to each order. Selecting “Pay Later” allows us to combine multiple orders into one shipment.

Once the plants to be shipped have been finalized, we will inform you of the total cost of the plants and required documents.

The cost of the plants and required documents must be paid before shipment. The actual shipping cost will be charged separately after dispatch.

【Required Documents and Fees】

The required documents vary depending on the plant species and destination country.

CITES permit: ¥11,000

Phytosanitary certificate: ¥33,000

Both documents: ¥44,000 in total

We will confirm whether a CITES permit is required based on the plant species and destination country.

Obtaining the necessary documents normally takes approximately one month. Depending on the progress of the paperwork, your order may not be ready for the next shipping period and may need to be shipped during the following season.

When documents are required by the destination country, shipment will take place only after the necessary permits and certificates have been obtained.

Some countries require customers to obtain an import permit in advance. Please confirm the import requirements with the appropriate authorities in your country before ordering.

【Shipping Seasons】

International orders are accepted throughout the year, but plants are generally shipped twice a year.

Spring shipping season: approximately April through June

Autumn shipping season: approximately October through December

Shipping dates may change depending on the time required to obtain documents, the destination country, temperatures, and transportation conditions.

If an order is placed near the end of a shipping season and the required documents cannot be obtained in time, the order will be shipped during the following season.

For example, if an order is placed at the end of June and the CITES permit or phytosanitary certificate cannot be obtained in time for shipment in June, the order will be shipped during the autumn shipping season. As this is part of our normal shipping schedule, no storage fee will be charged.

If you wish to add more plants to your order, please contact us no later than one week before the scheduled shipping date.

Later additions may still be accepted if payment is completed approximately two business days before shipment and there is sufficient time to prepare the plants, packaging, and required documents.

After a CITES permit has been issued, additional plants may be included in the same shipment only if they are correctly covered by the approved permit and all details match the required shipping documents.

【Order Holds and Storage Fees】

If an order cannot be shipped during the current shipping season because the required documents cannot be obtained in time, or because of temperatures, transportation suspensions, or import restrictions in the destination country, we will hold the plants until the next shipping season.

No storage fee will be charged when the delay is not requested by the customer.

If all required documents are ready and the plants can be shipped safely, but the customer requests that shipment be postponed until the next shipping season, the following storage fee will apply:

Storage fee: ¥500 per plant per month

The storage fee will be calculated according to the number of plants and the period from the month in which shipment is postponed until the month in which the plants are shipped.

Orders may normally be held only until the next shipping season. We cannot hold orders beyond the following shipping season.

Please understand that these are living plants and their condition or appearance may change during long-term storage.

【Shipping Costs】

Shipping costs vary depending on the contents of your order, the number of plants, package size, destination, and shipping method.

Estimated shipping costs:

EMS: from ¥2,000

Air cargo: from ¥50,000

Whenever possible, multiple orders will be combined into one shipment. You will be charged only the actual shipping cost.

When soil is not permitted by the destination country, sphagnum moss and other growing media will be removed, and the plants will be shipped bare-root.

【Reservation & Cancellation Policy】

Reservations are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.

Cancellations after 90 days from the date of purchase are subject to the following deductions:
- 20% within 6 months
- 30% after 6 months
- No refunds after 1 year

Any storage fees already incurred will be deducted from the refund amount before the refund is processed.
